Izmir University of Economics FFD 301 Furniture Design Exhibition

As Ananas, we visited the exhibition organized within the scope of FFD 301 Furniture Design course at Izmir University of Economics on January 09, 2024. Many designers in the sector came together to examine the furniture designs of 3rd year Industrial Design and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design students.

During the exhibition, we examined the furniture designed by our students in detail and made comments. The materials used in the products were not limited to wood, but combinations were created by combining different materials such as metal and glass. Projects that integrated materials such as fabric, leather and cushions for comfort and aesthetics also took their place in the exhibition.

Comments and suggestions for development were not about the design but also about the combination and technical details. Students were able to participate in every stage of the production process and observe the realization of their designs more closely. The exhibition enabled students to put their knowledge and design ideas into practice, to demonstrate their creativity, and to gain a realistic approach by being involved in production.
